Well, Are We?

Greetings, everybody. A new trip, a new blog. Simple as that. Carisa and I have been hired by the Second City to perform abroad the Norwegian Jewel. Very exciting stuff, and after two weeks of packing, unpacking, repacking, etc., we're ready to hit the road. We'll be flying down to Miami for two cruises, then repositioning to New York, which will be our home port for the remainder of our run.

This is my second time out. Two years ago I performed abroad the Norwegian Pearl with a great group of people (Chris Compton, Sam Richardson, Eileen Montelione, Jennifer Winters, Joe Latessa and Rodney Marfil), and I'm going out with another excellent cast this time; Andy Eninger, John Loos, Kate Cohen and THE Carisa Barreca, with Tony Rozic as our MD. We've been rehearsing this past week, putting together our running order as well as compiling props and improv to take abroad the ship with Mark Warzecha directing.

By this time Sunday, yes, Easter Sunday, we'll be out to sea, rehearsing with sharks that bring us rum-filled pineapples. Real nice guys, those sharks. This is the space we will use to update everyone on our travels. Carisa will likely take all the pictures, as I am unable to take a photo that doesn't look like an Impressionist painting doodled on by a child.

Stay tuned, kids.

Thanks for reading. More to come.

  1. a) I didn't know you sailed with Chris Compton! I helped his brother pick out an engagement ring for his lady and spent some time with them in LA last June. Small world.
    b) Don't let those sharks fool you. If you come back with only one arm, I'mma be pissed!
    c) You are definitely pirates.
